Stratford Group Ltd. (Stratford) is committed to protecting the privacy of information gathered from users of this website.

SECTION 1 | WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase something from Stratford IP Academy (‘our store’), as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

If you’re a customer and at some time have purchased a product or opened an account at our online store, your information is stored within the WooCommerce systems and only our store has access to that information.

When you purchase a product that requires shipping, your address info, name and phone number is automatically passed on to our fulfillment center handling shipping in the region in which you live. The information is stored in their systems, and it is their responsibility to secure the information.

At any time you can contact us at info@stratford.group if you want your customer data removed from our systems. 

At any time you can access your account data if you have created an account on our site. 

 

SECTION 2 | CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at info@stratford.group.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

 

SECTION 4 | WOOCOMMERCE

Our store is hosted on WooCommerce. They provide us with an online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through WooCommerce’s data storage, databases, and the general WooCommerce application. 

While you visit our store, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve our store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

Who on our team has access?

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Payment:

Our webstore is powered by WooCommerce, which accepts all major payment cards and uses Stripe as the payment gateway. All prices are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and this will be exchanged to your local currency by your bank or card issuer. 

Purchase data is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to the payment gateway, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the commission total and payment information.

SECTION 5 | THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Google Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.

SECTION 6 | SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Your credit card information is not stored by our website. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements.

To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most big websites do this too. While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Visits to the store: we’ll use this to generate statistics for affiliates and administrators.
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this just for statistics, and to let administrators supervise traffic generated by affiliates.
  • Affiliate’s name, username, email address: we’ll use this information to register and keep track of affiliates.
